XIVLauncher Download for Windows
Use this page when you want the Windows XIVLauncher download and need to know which official GitHub file to choose. The current official latest release checked for this guide is 7.0.20, published December 6, 2025.
Before you download
xivlauncher.blog does not host the installer. The download button sends you to the official Goatcorp GitHub release after a 15 second confirmation countdown. This reduces accidental clicks and keeps the source visible.

How to install XIVLauncher on Windows
- Download the setup executable. Choose XIVLauncher-win-Setup.exe from the official latest release, not the delta package or release metadata files.
- Run the installer. Windows may show a browser or system warning because the file is an executable. Confirm that the file came from the official Goatcorp GitHub release before continuing.
- Open XIVLauncher from the Start Menu. The installer should add a Start Menu entry. Use that launcher entry for future launches instead of repeatedly running the setup file.
- Sign in and configure the game path. Follow the launcher prompts and keep your Square Enix account security practices in place.
- Read plugin prompts carefully. Dalamud and plugins are third-party additions. Install only what you understand and keep plugins updated.
What not to download
Release pages may include several files. A new Windows user usually wants the setup executable. Files named RELEASES, assets.win.json, releases.win.json, or .nupkg are not the normal first-click installer for a clean Windows setup.
Safety notes
XIVLauncher can trigger antivirus false positives according to the official troubleshooting guidance. A false positive is possible, but that does not mean every warning should be ignored. Verify the source, avoid third-party mirrors, and read the official FAQ if the launcher is blocked or quarantined.
